SMS with MightyText

Even though we have learned how to handle the small keyboard on our smart phones and write instant messages with reasonable precision you may sometimes find it more convienient to just use your laptop for this.
Mightytext is an android application that gives you access to the phone via your browser. It enables you to control all your messaging from your browser. This tool has simply become indispensable to me and I use it all the time.

SMS will properbly soon be outdated and more and more communication will rely on faster wireless network protocols.

Great Tools: Git

In this series we will describe how we use some great tools in olesen & nielsen. First up is probably our most important tool our version handling tool: Git.

We have a Git repo for all our development projects and one for other files like pdfs and other information. The git server is the same that currently hosts our homepage and our business application. It is nice to now that it is almost impossible to loose data and that you always have all your earlier versions. We wouldn’t be able to function without Git.
